I think Aurthur has changed a lot throught out Tangerine! In the beggining of Tangerine he was more shy and did not stick up for himself.. now Aurthur has stuck up for himself to Mom and Dad and he might even to Erik!Also another character that has changed through out the book is Joey.. Joey seems more aggresive then usual.. he doesn't act his nomarl self when he is at Tangerine Middle School. I wonder if Aurthur and JOeyare still going to be friends by the way he has been acting latly.
I belive that Joey has changed the most thoughout the story. He first started with the death of this brother Mike. From my point of veiw that took a huge toll on Joey. He said in the story that " I quit soccer because i am going to play football in highschool." Joey is trying to follow in the footsteps of his brother and that is why he changed the most. But I am wondering if he changed to fill in and take over Mikes old life. Or is he really playing football because he wants to.
throughout the story I have noticed Paul changing. at the beginning of the story he seemed to be the type of person that would never stand up for himself. But a few chapters in he sort of started to stand up for himself ever since his mom ruined his chance on the lake windsor soccer team.....Hey what happened to that guy??? = )
I feel that Joey has changed throughout the story,or at least the author has made it seem like that.Before Joey was that nice kid you knew that he was popular but not someone who yells and causes fight with other kids and I think that had something to do with his brothers death.
The character that i think has changed the most would have to be Paul.He is changing slightly every day the first time i noticed that he was changing was the first day he was at Tangerine Middle,his mom wanted to go into the school but Paul stood up to her and told her that she was not going to come in because she already ruined it for his last school.I also have noticed that he is making more friends at Tangerine Middle, and he is becoming more popular.

Paul has changed drastically because when Paul was in Lake Windsor Middle School he didnt stand up for himself like he does at Tangerine Middle. Also I think Paul stands up for himself in Tangerine Middle because of the people he hangs out with on the soccer. Such as Victor, Tino, Hernando, and Mano.
I think Joey and Paul were the ones that mostly changed because of how much the have been sticking up for themselves. But I think that Paul has just been influenced by Victor and the others and Joey has just gotten more aggressive than he was in the beginning of the story. Unless Joey has been like that and hasn't shown it... Paul is still just trying to fit in with his new home and school so he has to do what he has to do.

Also, i believe that playing soccer might have been somehting to contribute into the way he has been acting because the soccer teams he has gone against have all been aggressive and Paul is starting to turn aggressive to. Like when he stood up to his Dad saying that he never paid attention to him. Paul ahs changed from a quiet, nice guy to a person who stands up for himself to get what he wants.

Also, how later in the story he found out that Authur and Eric were laughing about Mike's death. All of a sudden Joey joins the soccer team at TMS (Tangerine Middle School) who gets picked on every day. All of Joey's anger was bottled up until he lashed out on every body. Paul also changed because he is in a dilemma if he should stick with Joey or the cool kids from TMS.
"What happened to that guy"?, I know. He is trying to show Paul that he is not some stuck up kid that does everything that people tell him to do. Joey is probably just going through a stage where he acts big and bad for the girl. He tells Paul that he doesn't want Theresa to show him around the school just because she is cute. Joey is just changing.

Well I think paul changed alot not just alittle I Mean alot. Why I think this is becaud he used to be all quiet and now he's all geting all competive with his parentes. I just cant beleave that at all. I always thought he was all inacent and every thing. I'm very saprised.

As soon as Joey came out of his comfort zone to Tangerine Middle he changed to a really rude person. It seems that Joey thought that he was "to good" to go to school at Tangerine Middle.
Ah William I feel the same way about Paul. On who he sticks up for himself his fierce new teamates at TMS and she's standing up to his mom now. Joey I also agree on because he is constantly changing evil rapidly.

Hey A.Sanchez hey I definatly agree with you. When Paul told off his mom it was exciting because he seems quiet and more reserved. He is also starting to make more friends at Tangerine Middle
I think that paul is starting to change. At his new school he hangs out with all the "bad" kids. And also Joey started getting mad and all Joey would do is stand up for Tino and Victor. I predict that Paul is starting to end up like his older brother Erik, and Joey like his brother Mike.

I have noticed this in the book because he decided not to go any farther with his soccer interest and when he gets to high school he said that he wanted to start towards the football interest in him so that will not only affect him but it may also affect Joey and Paul's friendship as well! Joey has also changed because he got in a fight with Tino and got suspended! I think after experiencing all that has happened to him here at Tangerine Middle School, that he will transfer back to his old school at Lake Windsor Middle School!!!
Paul has definitely changed tremendously throughout this book. First he was very demanding on getting what he wanted as far as not turning in the IEP. I think that he really told his parents how he felt saying he wanted to go to Tangerine Middle. Calling his dad out for not caring about him or giving him as much attention as Erik gets during foot ball season gave him confidence to go on and pursue the life style that he recently shown by hanging out with Tino, Victor and Henry. I think that he may go on to become more like one of them by getting into more fights and not caring much about suspension. That is one of the reasons that I think Joey stopped hanging out with him.

Finally the one day he was actually standing up for himself and he wasnt shy to his parents. It was finally his time to respect others and have confidence in himself. His parents shouldnt be upset hat he yelled they should consider what he said but they should be proud that he stood up for himself
What happened to Joey???? I mean seriously! He was all nice at the beginning and was sweet and cool... But then he flipped out! Paul didn't even do anything! Joey's been weird every since he moved to tangerine, so maybe Paul and Joey won't be friends anymore...
I think Joey has changed the most in tangerine. In the begining of the book he was nice. But as the book progressed, he started conflicts with people such as Erik and Tino. Now hes starting to be outgoing and mean! I wonder if he will ever change back into his old self, i relly home so.
I think Paul changed the most. I think he did because at the beggining of all his schools he was getting pushed around untill he found a friend to walk with and wasent afraid. Then at tangerine middle he was getting pushed around by all the big kids and then he wasent playing in games now Joey is here so now he has a friend to not get pushed around and stick up for him

I think that Pauls changed a lot throughout the story because at first he didnt like to talk to people and he was very shy and wouldnt speak up to his parents. After the whole sinkhole incident though, Paul told Dad about how he felt when it came to how much attention was paid to each of his son.He also stood up to Mom about interferring in his school about the forms. I think hes changed so much because hes realized now that he needs to speak up for himself if he wants to get anywhere.

I agree with N.Montross with how joey was getting picked on and had his anger botteled up then just exploded in anger.
