Sports are like war because sports require many skills and tactics, there is various thing such as, speed, strength, stealth, defence, and much more. War and sports are both strategetic and alot of training is required to win.

I think that in the book sports are like war because like Erik and Victor it feels like life or death to them and they hunger on that pride and victory. Also I think that sports are like war because they're fighting with all they got to win.

I think sports are like war because of the fights and because it takes alot of work to play them and be good at it.I play hockey and it took alot to be as good as i am now. I started when i was 6 years old and now i am playing in a league higher than i am supposed to be playing in.Paul went through alot to be where he is too. He had to work hard to be as good he is at goalie now. When he was littler he probably wasn't as good as he is now, he had to work for it.

Sports are alot like war because of the intense action. It starts to get very compettive. Like when the kid shoved mud into Pauls glasses, he did that to make him mad, help win, and make fun of him. it takes every known skill to wil. It is like a dog eat dog of every man for himself scerio.

Sports are like war because its one side against the other. Your team vs the other side. When your getting beat your morale falls.. and when your winning you feel the thrill and exciement. Playing soccer feels just that way. Of course in soccer when your getting beat, everybody blames he goalie.

Sports are like war in this book becaus people fight for the spot's on the teams.Football and soccer Erik fought to get the spot of first string kicker. He doesn't care how he gets it but what ever he wants he fight's until he can get's it.Paul is kind of the same but he fight's for respect and friendship. He doesn't want to take anyone's spot he just wants to play on the team.

Sports are like wars because when you are playing a game you don't care about the other team. The only thing you would mostly care about is your team and winning. Also sports are like war because you have to strategize and make a plan to get a goal.

Anonymous said...

sports are like war because they are a competition to see which teamis better than the other.sports are also like war because you have to think and use prior knowledge.some sports require collision and war sometimes requires collision

Sports are like war because in both there is only one winner and one losser. In sports you leave everything on the field and give it your all. In war you really have to give it your all because the fait of your life and your country relies in yuor hands. Both reqiuer strength and power to win. Speaking from experience I know that when you step out onto the field, it is war.

Sports are like wars because,in the game you have to be agressive and that could be war. Just like how Paul had to do a fake kick and he landed face first into the mud, now that sounds like war.

Sports I think are like wars because we see some team rivalry and some athletes need certain requirements to be able to play. Some sports, like soccer, is contact sport which like war hurts each other. These games also pressure the players to win whatever means.

sports are like war becuse people get hurt or get in a fight in sports.people even get knock into loony land by get hit by a bat.people just need to be carful becuse it happen to me and my freind got hit by a bad on asicdent by me so those are the resons why sports are like war.also you have to think ahead over your oppent to beat them.that is a other reson for it

Sports are like war because there are hitting and fouling like in the book the frist game it said in the text the players were hitting tripping throwing elbow so thrers your prof

Anonymous said...

Sports are a war because in sports people get hurt and bruised. Also in sports hthe object is to win. In sports you have to cooperate with your team to score, in war you have to cooperate with your soldiers to win battles

Sports are most definitly like wars because sometimes people will do anything to win. Sometimes people will even cheat just like some of the wars in iraq they will hide and act like they are apart of the other team and they will eventually kill the other squad. But this is just like the hidden ball trick because you can trick and hide the ball and tag them out and break their heart. That is how the iraq soldiers and every one at war is like Sports

i think sports is like war because
you're against a team or an opponent.you have to have the armor, equipment, stealth, training,
ect.
just like when the tangerine soccer team went against the whippoorwills, many got hurt because they wanted to win and defeat the enemy

sports are like war because both teams want to win so it gets like a war between the two teamstrying to win.when i played bascetball there was one team we played , and they were pushing and shuving people on are team.

Anonymous said...

sports are like wars because you are always competing and you don't usually give up to the game or war is over, and you don't really care about the other team.

Sports are like wars by.Like war people get hurt and like football people get hurt are injured.bmx people die also like sky diveing and in the book mike costelol died on the goal post.

Sports are like war in a lot of ways. For example, both topics include one team winning, and requires strengths, defence, endurence, and more skills. Also sports can cause "war" between people, if for example, one teams wins and the other loses.

Anonymous said...

Sports is like war because in sports you are kind of battling to the finish to see who wins and who loses.Like when i play basketball or football I dont give up intil the game is over.

Anonymous said...

sports and war are kind of alike because in war people get hurt and killed the same goes for sports you just have to be careful.

Anonymous said...

I think sports is like War because of how the game is set up You have to sides going aganst each other and who ever wins gets a Tropy but every thing all ways goes wrong like fights or gun shots but every thing turns out good

Sports are like war in many ways, like Conner said, some people will do anything to win. Even if that means not using your better judgment. I think that the war eagles in the book are a perfect example of doing whatever it takes including fighting when their temper gets the better of them.

I think that sports are like war because many sports need training and skill. Also you have sides or teams play to win. Last you get hurt alot.

Anonymous said...

Sports are simmiler to war because sports, like war require strategy and also there are two apposing sides.

Anonymous said...

sports are like war becuase it is very intense and it take courage skill and you need lots of trainng make and strength to go to war and to play sports.

Sports is like war because sports is a skill that you must have. So when you have skill at a sport that you love you must compete with others to be the best. For example i am in softball. So if someone gets a realy good hit i am going to want to get an even better hit. Or if someone steps on home plate i will want to slide into home. So you are going to want to do better than someone else. and you are doing the same in war. In war you are trying to kill literally. But in sports you are trying to kill numbers i home runs, touch downs or goals. Either way you are trying to kill.

i think that is write sports are like war they are compiting to be the best in sports also it is about skills stratages like speed and stranth.

Anonymous said...

Sports are like war because you are competing to win and like our troops, they are competing to win the war against Iraq.

Anonymous said...

I think a sport like foot ball would be a sport like war because u are compering with other people like war. diiferent people are fighting to win like a sport you play to win a sport like you are fighting to win the war.that is why i think war and sports are alike

Anonymous said...

I dissagree with a.jones because you dont have to be agressave in war. also war isent just about bloodshed and killing.

Anonymous said...

Sports are like war and I believe this because when you in the middle of any sports game the players have to fight against each other to make a goal, toch down ect...Just like in a war they need to fight in order to to win the war.

Anonymous said...

sports are alot like war because when people go to war they get stationed to the war in sports when you have away games you travel to that place to play there

Anonymous said...

I think sports are like war because like in the story there are a lot of fights that come from people being bad sports. Or people getting shoved and pushed, like when victor ran into the goalie.

Anonymous said...

Hey sam I totally agree with you on that one. I play baseball and the people on my team are very competative, and like you said, if the other team scores a point, my teamates want to score two points before they score another one. So I like what you said about how sports are ilke war.

Anonymous said...

But I agree with MDula that sports are like wars because it takes skill and strength to be good at a sport. Many of the sports require teamwork or individual skill. These include golf, baseball, basketball, swimming, or bowling winner! no matter how different each sport is, there will only be one

War and sports have completey different meaninings but have similar ascetic qualities relating each other. This is because in both activities there are fighting between to different teams or two different armies.
