Homeowner's Meeting
During the homeowner’s meeting at the end of the story, the Fisher’s and Bauer’s admit to Erik and Arthur stealing jewelry from the tented homes. Mr Fisher says, “You can see what we have already recovered. Those items could be released to you as early as tomorrow. If we can get you all to agree to [letting Erik and Arthur return all that was stolen], and it has to be unanimous agreement, then the Sheriff’s Department will not pursue further charges against Erik and Arthur.” If you were one of the owner’s of the tented homes, would you have let Erik and Arthur off the hook for stealing?

I don't think I would have voted to let them off the hook. What they did was horrible and unexusable! No one should get away with sealing especially when they've done it in such a great size! Those are my feelings towards Erik and Arthur getting off the hook!
no, i would'nt have let Erik author off the hook from stealing those items out of the tentede houses. This is because Erik and Author have done some bad things in the past and never got punished for doing them and now would be a great time too.
If I was one of the owners of the tented homes, no I would not let Erik and Arthur get off that easy. I said what I said because what people usually do is press charges or make the people who committed the crime pay for the damaged or stolen jewelry.
Saying I would let them off the hook is like getting mugged, calling the authorties, and then just letting the vandal go! How could anyone be so naive on letting the culprits get away when they are RIGHT THERE! Sure, a stipulation may come up but that doesn't mean i'll let trouble makers have a second chance to steal.
if i were one of the homeowners i would not let eric and arthur get of that easy and make them do at least 100 hours of serves.
if i was one of the owners of the tented homes i would have said that erick and arthur should go to gail for stealing stuff from the peoples houses.
No! I would not let Aurther and Erik off the hook because i think they deserve to get in trouble, not only because of the robberies but because they killed Luis and Erik made Paul partially blind making him not eligible to play soccer at Lake Windsor Middle School and made Paul have a lot of the flashbacks he was having. I also think that Erik was the main reason for Paul to go to a private school.
I would not let the boys go free. They are nothing but criminals and they should have been punished for thier crimes. I think that the homeowners are pushovers and need to think more.
If i were one of the owners with the tented homes i would not let Erik and Arthur off the hook because what the did was worng and just because they are football players they should not be allowed to grt oof the hook since stealing jewlery is inexcusable. Plus this would just encourage Erik to do even more bad stuff because he will know he can get away with anything since he got away with helping put spray paint in Pauls eyes and he almost got away with help killing Luis. I agree with Maddison Miska when she says that they never got punished and now is a great time because this punishment for Erik and Arthur pays back for all the times that their parents refused to punish them for.
For all what they've done in the book I wouldn't give them any chance and put them in jail. I felt sorry for what Erik did to Paul. They cannot ge taway with what they've stolen since it probably worth a lot. I don't trust them even returning my items.
I definitly wouldn't have voted to let them off the hook. They would learn nothing from that. Having their dads bail them out is just like getting away with the crime. They should have to be responsible for their actions instead of letting their parents take care of their troubles for them.
I would NOT have let Erik and Arthur off the hook! Everyone in my class knows that I dislike Erik with a burning passion. He deserves EVERYTHING he got and a whoole bunch more! He needs to get a life or take up a hobby like knitting (not football).
i would not have let Erik and Aruther off the hook for stealing my items. they would mean something to me or else I would not have had them. There would be a reason that I had those items and I would not appreciate it if someone took it. for example, I have a signed picture of Chase Utley and one day, I could not find it. turns out that my sister had it and wanted to see what I would do. I was furious and would not talk to her for days.
Your kidding me right?!?! I would never let those boy's off the hook. They'd be in SOOOOO MUCH TROUBLE!!! He'd be stuck in military school if I had the choice. He would definatly hate himself for what he and Auther did.
I would have...NOT,let him off of the hook.I would have told them they need to repay me for everything and i would have them arrestested because they would/might have the chance to do it again.
If I was a voting to let them go free I would stand against them and Arthur Bauer,Sr. This was unacceptable and a terrible event that occured. IF I lived I Tangerine County, I would move far away from Florida and make sure teenage criminals aren't stealing my belongings.
I would not let Erik and Arther off the hook for this one.I would take drastic measures and sue Erik for his car and make him pay for my windows and my stuff.And take his football record.
I was very happy when Paul told on Erik to the police officer! Erik most defenetly deserved what he got!!!! Im really glad what paul did and im proud of him too! Because in the beggining he was very shy and now he is the opposite!
I agree with kaity they should never get of the hook for what they did! what they did was horrible and they dont deserve to get out of anything! They should havenever stole anything in the first place and they would never be in so much tr-ouble!
I wouldn't let them off the hook because there is a consequece for every action you make and erik and arthur need to pay. there consequece is a bad consequece for the action erik and arthur made. they deserve a big punishment.
NO,I would not have let them off the hook. They broke the peoples windows,and stole valueable items i would not have let them off the hook i would have sent them to jail and i would tell them that i was getting my stolen items back either way.
